Ingredients

  • 1 c
    crisco shortening
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 c
    white sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 c
    peanut butter, creamy
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 3 c
    flour

How to Make Peanut Butter Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Add shortening to mixing bowl and cream together with alternating brown and white sugars. Add 2 room temperature eggs,peanut butter and vanilla. Add soda and flour. Mix together well.
  2. Form small balls and press with fork on slightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 12 minutes. A nut,raisin or chocolate kiss can be placed in the center of each cookie.
