This a recipe that I really like that has been passed down through our church directory.

  • 3 Tbsp
  • 2 Tbsp
    peanut butter
  • 1/2 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
  • 1
    egg white
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp

How to Make Peanut Butter Cookies


  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, peanut butter, and sugar.
  2. Add egg white, beat until blended.
  3. Beat in vanilla.
  4. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt and gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  5. Shape into a 8” roll; wrap in plastic wrap and freeze fro 2 hours or until firm.
  6. Unwrap and cut into slices about 1/4” thick. Place 2” apart on baking sheets coated with nonstick cooking spray. Flatten with a fork.
  7. Bake at 350*F for 6-8 minutes for chewy cookies or 8-10 minutes for crisp cookies. Cool for 1-2 minutes before removing to wire racks; cool completely.
