I'm not a fan of the raisins and cinnamon that you find in traditional oatmeal cookie recipes, so I added my own twist!

Ingredients

  • 2 stick
    light margarine, softened
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract, pure
  • 1 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 3 c
    oats, quick cooking or old fashioned
  • 1/2 pkg
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 pkg
    peanut butter chips

How to Make Peanut Butter Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Beat together margarine and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  3. Add combined flour, baking soda and salt; mix well.
  4. Stir in oats, chocolate and peanut butter chips; mix well.
  5. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet; bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Note: I find these cookies to be at their best once they've cooled.
