peanut butter chocolate oatmeal cookies

I'm not a fan of the raisins and cinnamon that you find in traditional oatmeal cookie recipes, so I added my own twist!

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks light margarine, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, pure
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups oats, quick cooking or old fashioned
  • 1/2 package semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 package peanut butter chips

How To Make peanut butter chocolate oatmeal cookies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 2
    Beat together margarine and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  • Step 3
    Add combined flour, baking soda and salt; mix well.
  • Step 4
    Stir in oats, chocolate and peanut butter chips; mix well.
  • Step 5
    Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet; bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Step 6
    Note: I find these cookies to be at their best once they've cooled.
