    1 1/4 cups flour
  • ·
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • ·
    1/8 tsp. salt
  • ·
    1/2 cup butter, softened
  • ·
    1/2 cup raw sugar (demerara or barbados)
  • ·
    1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
  • ·
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • ·
    1 large egg
  • ·
    4 oz. semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped

How to Make Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies


  1. Preheat oven to 375. Butter a baking sheet. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in medium bowl. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with mixer at high speed until creamy. Beat in peanut butter. Add vanilla and egg, beating until just blended. With mixer on low speed, beat in the dry ingredients, followed by the chocolate. Shape into small balls and put 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet. Bake until just golden at the edges, 10 to 12 minutes. Cool on baking sheet until cookie firm slightly, about 5 minutes. Transfer to wire racks to cool completely. Makes about 16
