How To Make peanut butter caramel popcorn bars
-
1Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit. Line an 8x8" pan with aluminum foil and spray the foil with nonstick spray or butter. In a small bowl mix the flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. Using the bowl of a mixer, cream the butter and sugars together for 3-4 minutes until creamy. Scrape the sides of the bowl down with a spatula. Add the egg, vanilla and peanut butter. Keep mixing on medium speed until combined.
-
2Place this entire mixture on the 8x8 pan. With a spatula press down until the dough is completely flat and covers the entire surface. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the top starts to brown. Remove mixture from oven and immediately sprinkle the caramel bits and chocolate chips on top. Wait 1-2 minutes for the chocolate to start melting, then spread with a spatula until the chocolate covers the entire surface. Let this mixture cool completely.
