hershey's kisses, unwrapped
1/2 c
shortening, butter flavor
3/4 c
peanut butter, creamy
1/3 c
1/3 c
light brown sugar
2 Tbsp
1 tsp
pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 c
flour, all purpose
1 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
additional granulated sugar

How to Make Peanut Butter Blossoms


  • 1Pre-heat oven to 375F. Unwrap Kisses.
  • 2Beat shortening and peanut butter in a large bowl until well blended. Add the sugars, beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla, bet well. Stir together the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually beast into the peanut butter mixture.
  • 3Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar; place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 4Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie; cookies will crack around the edges. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
