Ingredients

  • 4 ounces semi-sweet baking chocolate
  • 2 1/2 cups butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup surgar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter, creamy
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup, dark
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup dried cherries

How To Make peanut butter and chocolate cherry cookies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a sauce pan, melt chocolate and butter over low heat, stir frequently. Remove sauce pan from heat. In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cocoa powder.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, mix chocolate mixture, sugar and brown sugar, vanilla, dark corn syrup, and peanut butter. Whisk in eggs, one at a time. Gradually add in flour mixture. Add chocolate chips and cherries, stir until evenly mixed.
  • Step 3
    Shape dough by rounded tablespoons, place balls 1 1/2 inches apart, on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten each ball with a fork in a crisscross pattern. Bake with love for 10-12 minutes.
