Ingredients

  • 4 oz
    semi-sweet baking chocolate
  • 2 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 3/4 c
    surgar
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 large
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter, creamy
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 Tbsp
    corn syrup, dark
  • 1 1/2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 c
    unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 3 oz
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c
    dried cherries

How to Make Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cherry Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a sauce pan, melt chocolate and butter over low heat, stir frequently. Remove sauce pan from heat. In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cocoa powder.
  2. In a large bowl, mix chocolate mixture, sugar and brown sugar, vanilla, dark corn syrup, and peanut butter. Whisk in eggs, one at a time. Gradually add in flour mixture. Add chocolate chips and cherries, stir until evenly mixed.
  3. Shape dough by rounded tablespoons, place balls 1 1/2 inches apart, on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten each ball with a fork in a crisscross pattern. Bake with love for 10-12 minutes.
