Ingredients
- 3/4 cup peanut butter, creamy
- 1 1/4 cups dark brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 x large egg
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- DECORATIONS:
- 80 - chocolate covered mini pretzels
- 80 - mini brown plain m&m's
- 40 - red plain m&m's (regular size)

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2Combine brown sugar, peanut butter, shortening, milk & vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Add egg; beat until just blended.

Step 3In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda & salt. Add to creamed mixture at low speed. Mix just until blended.

Step 4Form dough into 1" balls. To make reindeer-shaped cookies, pinch the bottom of the ball slightly to form a point, then gently flatten with your hand. Space cookies about 2" apart on a greased cookie sheet & bake for 7 - 8 minutes, until set or just beginning to brown.

Step 5Remove from oven & immediately (& gently) press 2 mini pretzels into the tops of the cookies for the reindeer's antlers. Press 2 mini brown M&M's in for the eyes & 1 red M&M for the nose.

Step 6Allow to cool 2 minutes on the baking sheet & then transfer to a wire rack or paper towel to cool completely.
