Ingredients

  • COMBINE:

  • 2 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • BEAT:

  • 1 c
    marg. or butter, softened ( 2 sticks)
  • 3/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2
    eggs (add one at a time)
  • STIR IN:

  • 2 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    pecans, chopped (optional)
  • NOTE: IF OMITTING NUTS, ADD 2 T. OF ALL PURPOSE FLOUR TO MIXTURE.

How to Make Original Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine first three ingredients.
  2. Beat next five ingredients. Gradually add flour mixture.
  3. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts (optional)
  4. Drop by rounded Tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake.
