This is one of my favorite desserts for summer

  • 28
    oreos cookies
  • 1/4 c
    margarine or butter
  • 1/2 gal
    vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 c
    chocolate liquor (optional)
  • 1 c
  • 4 oz
    evaporated milk
  • 4
    squares semi sweet chocolate
  • 1 stick
  • 12 oz
    cool whip
  • 1 c
    sliced almonds or other garnish

How to Make Oreo Cookie Freezer Dessert


  1. Crush oreos and mix with 1/4 cup of melted margarine. Spread in 9x13 pan and freeze.
  2. Soften ice cream and blend in liquor, pour into frozen pan with the oreos.
  3. Put back in the freezer until very firm.
  4. In a medium saucepan add sugar , evaporated milk, stick of margarine and chocolate. Bring to a boil for 1 minute. Cool and pour over the ice cream and refreeze. Decorate with cool whip and almonds.
