Mmmmmmmmmm biscotti + oreos = double delishous yummyness!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 16 - double stuf regular oreo cookies, chopped
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, milk or dark chocolate (whatever you like)
  • 2 tablespoons shortening, butter flavor

How To Make oreo biscotti

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 2
    In large bowl, combine sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla; mix well. Add flour, baking powder & salt; mix well. Stir in chopped oreos. Divide dough in 1/2. Shape each 1/2 into 9 x 13" loaf on greased baking sheet with floured hands. Bake 25 - 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Step 3
    Remove from oven; cool 10 minutes. Cut each loaf diagonally into 16 slices. Place slices, cut side up, on same baking sheet. Bake an additional 10 - 12 minutes on each side or until toasted on both sides. Cool on rack.
  • Step 4
    Once cooled, microwave chocolate & shortening together & stir until smooth. Dip each biscotti 1/2 in mixture & place back on same baking sheet to dry completely.
  • Step 5
    VARIATIONS: Use different flavored oreos to mix things up a bit.
