Orange Walnut Cookies

Barbie Dombroski

These are one of my family's favorite cookies, and mine as well. I have been making these for over 20 yrs now and are still requested for all gatherings. The texture is delicate & delicious, and the orange flavoring makes these scrumptious. Once you try them, they just might be one of yours too.. They will melt in your mouth! A hot cup of tea goes great with them. You can even custom them by adding some of your favorite ingredients! I personally like them just the way they are....

How to Make Orange Walnut Cookies

  1. In large bowl, add margerine, powdered sugar, white sugar, vegetable oil, orange flavoring, beaten eggs, orange peel, and nuts. Mix well.
  2. In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, cream of tarter and salt. Add dry ingredients into wet mixture, mix well. Chill dough for several hours.
  3. I use a cookie scoop to make cookies, then roll into balls, press down gently to flaten.
Bake @ 370 degrees for 12 - 15 minutes, just until light brown. Do not over bake!
This is a large recipe and can be cut in half if desired. Cookies are delicate and delicious...ENJOY!
