Ingredients
- 1/2 pound candied orange slices, cut into small pieces
- 1/4 pound pecans, chopped fine
- 1 1/4 cups brown sugar, firmly packed (i use dark brown)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- dash - of salt
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Step 1PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES. GREASE AND FLOUR A 9 X 13" PAN.

Step 2SIFT FLOUR INTO A LARGE MIXING BOWL. STIR IN ORANGE SLICES, PECANS, BROWN SUGAR, BAKING POWDER AND SALT.

Step 3ADD EGGS AND VANILLA.

Step 4THE MIXTURE WILL BE STIFF. NO LIQUID IS NEEDED. POUR INTO PREPARED PAN.

Step 5BAKE FOR 35 MINUTES, OR UNTIL GOLDEN CRUST IS FORMED. COOL.

Step 6CUT INTO 2" SQUARES AND ROLL IN CONFECTIONER'S SUGAR.
