Since I love the flavor of orange, I wanted to find a recipe for orange liqueur balls for the New Year's Celebration!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups finely crushed unfrosted sugar cookies
  • 1 cup toasted hazelnuts or almonds finely chopped
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons orange liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter, melted
  • - powdered sugar for rolling and coating the orange balls

How To Make orange liqueur balls

  • Step 1
    In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt 2 Tbsp. of butter on medium-high. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, stir together sugar cookie crumbs, nuts, powdered sugar, corn syrup, orange liqueur and melted butter until well blended.
  • Step 3
    Place one cup powdered sugar into a small bowl.
  • Step 4
    Shape mixture into 1-inch balls and roll and coat them in the powdered sugar.
  • Step 5
    Place the balls on a cooking sheet lined with waxed paper and cover with plastic wrap, let stand for 2 hours.
  • Step 6
    Before serving, roll and coat the balls once again in powdered sugar.
