Ingredients

2/3 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 - egg
1/2 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons orange rind
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
ORANGE BUTTER FROSTING
2 1/2 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons orange juice
2 teaspoons grated orange rind

How To Make orange drop cookies

Step 1

Heat oven to 400°. Mix butter, sugar and egg thoroughly. Stir in orange juice and rind. Stir in dry ingredients and mix well.

Step 2

Drop rounded teaspoons of dough 2" apart on a baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until delicately browned on edges.
Step 3

Mix frosting ingredients together. When cookies are cooled, frost.
