Orange Cardamom Cookies

Gail Herbest

I found this recipe some time ago and just got around to making it today. These cookies are really good, would be perfect with a cup of English tea. I changed it just a bit by adding more vanilla. The original recipe also said to flatten which I did and press with a fork ( like peanut butter cookies which I did not do) I also added the icing to mine. If you like Cardamom you will love these!!

fold in combined sifted flour and cream of tartar. Mix to form a soft dough
4Roll mixture into a walnut sized balls and place on a greased cookie sheet, lightly flatten each ball
5Bake at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes cool on a wire rack
6You can leave these plain or dust with powdered sugar. I frosted mine with 1 cup of powdered sugar that I mixed 1 tablespoon of Chai flavored sugar and just enough cream to make icing consistency.
