These wonderful cookies are reminiscent of those delicious Dark Chocolate Oranges...the one's you have to beat up to eat!

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 Tbsp
    grated orange zest
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 pkg
    dark chocolate chips

How to Make Orange Bittersweet Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. In medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. In large bowl, cream butter, sugars and zest with an electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Add flour mixture to butter mixture; blend well. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  3. Bake 13-15 minutes, or until edges are golden brown. cool 3 minutes on pan; remove and cool completely on cooling rack.
