I made these for my fiancee and he loved them...it's like a granola bar but better...and the best part the kids dont know there is fruit in them

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups oatmeal, uncooked
  • 1 package dried cranberries ( i used ocean spray)
  • 1 package white chocolate chips
  • 1 package peanut butter chips
  • 1 package almonds, chopped
  • 1 package toffee chips or heath bits

How To Make on the trail...

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350 degree F In a small bowl combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt, mix well and set aside.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl beat butter and sugars on medium speed until creamy
  • Step 3
    Add eggs and vanilla and mix well
  • Step 4
    Add flour mixture and mix well
  • Step 5
    Add cranberries and almonds mix well, add both bags of chips mix well, add toffe chips or heath bits and mix well, add oatmeal and mix well.
  • Step 6
    Drop by rounded teaspoon or I used a cookie scoop ( ice cream scoop) to make them even sizes on a ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Step 7
    Bake 8-10 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool for a minute on cookie sheet then transfer to a cooling rack. Store tightly covered.
