How to Make Old-Timers
1Cream lard and sugar together.
2Add molasses and cream, then the eggs.
3Stir in the sifted dry ingredients.
5Chill in refrigerator overnight.
6Use half of dough at a time.
7Roll out lightly, 1/4-inch thick on a floured cloth.
8Cut rounds of 2 1/2 to 3 inches.
9Place on greased cookie sheets and bake 15 to 20 minutes.
