How to Make Old-Timers


  • 1Cream lard and sugar together.
  • 2Add molasses and cream, then the eggs.
  • 3Stir in the sifted dry ingredients.
  • 4Dough will be soft.
  • 5Chill in refrigerator overnight.
  • 6Use half of dough at a time.
  • 7Roll out lightly, 1/4-inch thick on a floured cloth.
  • 8Cut rounds of 2 1/2 to 3 inches.
  • 9Place on greased cookie sheets and bake 15 to 20 minutes.
