This is a recipe for cookies that we made as kids.

Ingredients

1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1 - egg
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon milk

How To Make old fashioned sugar cookies

Step 1

Heat oven to 400 degrees.

Step 2

Cream margarine and sugar; add egg and beat until fluffy. Blend in flour, baking powder, and salt. Add vanilla and milk and mix until a stiff dough is formed. Chill thoroughtly.
Step 3

Roll out 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes.
