Ingredients
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 - egg
- 4 tablespoons molasses
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon powdered ginger
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
How To Make old fashioned gingersnaps

Step 1Mix all ingredients and chill for 15 minutes. Roll into small balls using about a teaspoonfull of dough. Roll in sugar. Place on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Make sure to not over cook these so they will be soft and chewy.
