This recipe was given to me years ago by a student who gave these to me for Christmas.

  • 4 Tbsp
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    ground cloves
  • 1 tsp
    powdered ginger
  • 2 tsp

How to Make Old Fashioned Gingersnaps


  1. Mix all ingredients and chill for 15 minutes. Roll into small balls using about a teaspoonfull of dough. Roll in sugar. Place on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Make sure to not over cook these so they will be soft and chewy.
