ohmygoodness! chocolate chunk cookies

These are the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever tasted! They are big and thick and full of chocolate. When I made them for my little mama a few years ago I thought she might faint! Hence the name, "OhMyGoodness!" These cookies appear to be undercooked after the allotted time, but resist cooking them any longer!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold butter, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups flour
  • 10 ounces dark chocolate chunks
  • 10 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips

How To Make ohmygoodness! chocolate chunk cookies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Line baking sheet with parchment.
  • Step 2
    Beat butter until smooth, then add brown sugar and beat on medium 2 minutes, scraping sides often. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until smooth.
  • Step 3
    Beat in baking powder, baking soda and salt. On low, add flour until mixed, then stir in chocolates.
  • Step 4
    Using a 1/4 cup measure, form large balls and place 2 1/2" apart. Place the remaining dough in the refrigerator until ready to bake.
  • Step 5
    Bake 9-10 minutes, until edges are turning golden. The tops of the cookies will appear undercooked! Resist the urge to continue cooking! Remove from the oven.
  • Step 6
    Cool on the pan for 5 ,minutes, then gently remove to a rack to cool completely.
