This is a recipe I have had for many years.When my youngest daughter was in preschool all the mothers had to send in a recipe.This is one of the ones that was sent in.My daughter is now 43 yrs.old.

  • 2/3 c
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 4 c
    quick cooking oats
  • 1/2 c
    light karo syrup
  • 3 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • pinch
  • 6 oz
    nestle's chocolate bits
  • 2/3 c
    peanut butter

How to Make O'Henry Bars


  1. Mix together first 6 ingredients-put into 9x13" greased pan.Bake @ 350 degrees for 12 to 15 min.
  2. Melt together - the Nestle's Choco Bits and the 2/3 cup peanut butter.
  3. Pour over the oat mixture.Refrigerate for 2 hours.
