I found this on the Taste of Home Website, and I used to have a recipe just like this. I find it really is fun when the kids have friends over for a Lan Party (video gaming). It's always a fun and welcome surprise.

Ingredients

1/2 c
butter, softened
3/4 c
brown sugar, packed
1
egg
1 1/2 tsp
real vanilla extract
1 c
oats, quick cooking or old fashioned
1 c
all purpose flour
1/2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1/4 tsp
salt
1
m&m minis, 12 oz pkg, divided
1/4 c
walnuts or pecans, chopped
1/4 c
flaked coconut

How to Make Oatmeal Pizza

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a small bowl, cream butter and brown sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  • 2Combine the flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in 1 cup M&M's.
  • 3Press onto a greased 12-in. pizza pan. Sprinkle with nuts, coconut and remaining m&ms. Press lightly into the dough.
  • 4Bake at 350° for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into wedges.
