oatmeal molasses cookies

These are very good cookies. They cook out flat so you can actually use a filling between them if you want. But I like them just the way they are.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 - egg, beaten well
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 stick margarine, melted
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 3/4 cups oatmeal, uncooked
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped

How To Make oatmeal molasses cookies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 325. Line several cookie sheets with foil and spray with Pam.
  • Step 2
    Stir together the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon and set aside. Melt butter & margarine together.
  • Step 3
    Beat egg well and add, in this order, both sugars, butter & margarine, molasses, milk and oatmeal.
  • Step 4
    Now add to that, in this order, the flour mixture, raisins and nuts and mix well.
  • Step 5
    Drop by teaspoonsful onto greased cookie sheets & bake at 325 for 10-15 minutes.
