These are very good cookies. They cook out flat so you can actually use a filling between them if you want. But I like them just the way they are.

1 1/2 c
all purpose flour
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
salt
1 tsp
ground cinnamon
1
egg, beaten well
1 c
granulated sugar
1/2 c
brown sugar
1 stick
butter, melted
1 stick
margarine, melted
2 Tbsp
molasses
1/4 c
milk
1 3/4 c
oatmeal, uncooked
3/4 c
raisins
1/2 c
pecans, finely chopped

How to Make Oatmeal Molasses Cookies

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 325. Line several cookie sheets with foil and spray with Pam.
  • 2Stir together the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon and set aside. Melt butter & margarine together.
  • 3Beat egg well and add, in this order, both sugars, butter & margarine, molasses, milk and oatmeal.
  • 4Now add to that, in this order, the flour mixture, raisins and nuts and mix well.
  • 5Drop by teaspoonsful onto greased cookie sheets & bake at 325 for 10-15 minutes.
