This recipe came out of my Betty Crockers Cooky Cookbook. This cookie was a big hit at the Farmer's Market.

Ingredients

1/2 c
shortening
1 1/4 c
sugar
2
eggs
1/3 c
molasses
1 3/4 c
flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
salt
1 tsp
cinnamon
2 c
rolled oats
1/2 c
chopped nuts
1 c
raisins

Step-By-Step

1Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix shortening, sugar, eggs, and molasses thoroughly. Swift together dry ingredients, add to shortening mixture mix well. Blend in oats, nuts and raisins.
2Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto lightly greased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
