This recipe comes from The Settlement Cookbook, circa 1945. Some of my favorite recipes are from there. This one is always a big hit.

Makes 4 dozen
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 - eggs-beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups quick oats
- 1/2 cup chopped raisins
How To Make oatmeal crisps

Step 1Mix flour, soda and salt. Cream butter and sugars until light. Add eggs, vanilla, oats and raisins, then flour mixture. Mix well.

Step 2Form dough into 4 rolls, about 2 1/2" across. Wrap in wax paper, chill overnight. Slice thin, place on lightly sprayed sheet. Bake at 375 about 10 min., until they just start to brown. Cool on rack.
