oatmeal cookie
I've been trying to find a good Oatmeak Raisin recipe for years, and I pretty much made up my own. Tested on my friends and family and got a thumbs up... Soaking the raisins really brings out the flavors

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, room temperature
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 2 - eggs, well beaten
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3 cups oatmeal (traditional)
- 1 cup raisins

Step 1SOAK RAISINS FIRST... BEAT EGGS AND VANILLA TOGETHER AND THEN ADD RAISINS, STIR. SOAK FOR 45 MINUTES TO 1 HOUR STIRRING OCCASIONALLY.

Step 2Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Step 3Cream butter and sugars with mixer. In a seperate bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. Stir the dry ingredients until well blended. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and mix well.

Step 4Now, add in the eggs and raisind mixture, and add in the oatmeal.

Step 5Form into balls on cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool for 5-10 minutes or until firm enough to transfer to a wire rack.
