Ingredients
- 1 cup uncooked quick oats
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 - egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 package semisweet chocolate chips (6 oz)
How To Make oatmeal chocolate chippers

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Step 2Run oats through a food processor or blender until finely ground; set aside.

Step 3Cream butter; gradually add sugars, blending well at medium speed of electric mixer. Add egg and vanilla, beating well.

Step 4Combine oats, flour, and baking powder. Add to creamed mixture; mix well.

Step 5Stir in chocolate chips by hand.

Step 6Drop by teaspoonfuls on to lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool slightly in pans; remove to wire rack to complete cooling.
