Ingredients

  • 1 c
    butter
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 1/4 c
    flour
  • 2 c
    oats, quick cooking
  • 2 c
    chocolate chips

How to Make Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. cream together butter and sugars. add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
  2. add salt, baking soda, baking powder and flour and mix just until combined.
  3. add oatmeal and morsels and mix well. drop by rounded tablespoons, 2 inches apart, onto a greased baking sheet.
  4. bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes or until just lightly browned around the bottom edges.
  5. let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before moving to a cooling rack.
