These cookies are really good. At first my family turned their noses up at them because of the carrots. Once they tasted them they really liked them. The cloves give them a wonderful taste.

  • 3/4 c
    margarine or butter
  • 1 3/4 c
    flour
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    cloves
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 c
    rolled oats
  • 1 c
    finely grated carrot
  • 1/2 c
    raisons (optional)

How to Make Oatmeal Carrot Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 370 degrees. Beat the margarine or butter until soften. Add in the egg and vanilla.
  2. add the rest of the ingredients. It will be really moist.
  3. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet. Take a spoon and drop about a tablespoon for each cookie. Use your judgement. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
