I like to make hearty snacks prior to going on a trip. I love oatmeal cookies with raisins and chocolate chips. I decided to put a new twist on it and add craisins instead of raisins. It turned out good!

Ingredients
- OATMEAL BARS WITH CRAISINS AND CHOCOLATE CHIPS
- 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
- 3 - eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar or splenda
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 3 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup chocolate chips

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Spray a 13 x 9 x 2 baking pan with PAM or grease with butter or margarine. Using a mixer, cream together the eggs, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add the oil and vanilla and mix for 20 seconds. Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until just blended. Add oats, stir until completely incorporated. Add craisins and chocolate chips. Stir to incorporate. Transfer dough to prepared pan; spread out in pan with fingers dipped in water.

Step 3Bake for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in cener comes out clean.
