Ingredients

  • 3/4 c
    firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    margarine or butter, softened
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 c
    quick or old fashion oats uncooked
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 medium
    apple shredded peeled
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts (optional)
  • DRIZZLE

  • 1/2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    milk

How to Make oatmeal apple cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat together brown sugar and margarine (or butter if your using butter), until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add combined dry ingredients; mix well. Stir in apples and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoonsfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 -12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet: remove to wire cooling rack.
  2. Combine powdered sugar and milk. drizzle over cooled cookies. Store in tightly covered container.
