Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups oats (quick or old fashioned)
  • 1 cup raisins

How To Make oat meal raisin cookies

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Step 2
    Beat together butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  • Step 3
    Whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; stir together until no streaks remain. Stir this into the butter mixture.
  • Step 4
    Stir in oats and raisins; mix well.
  • Step 5
    Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. Makes about 4 dozen.
