brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c
granulated sugar
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 1/2 c
all-purpose flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
3 c
oats (quick or old fashioned)

How to Make Oat Meal Raisin Cookies


  • 1Heat oven to 350°F.
  • 2Beat together butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  • 3Whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; stir together until no streaks remain. Stir this into the butter mixture.
  • 4Stir in oats and raisins; mix well.
  • 5Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. Makes about 4 dozen.
