Ingredients
- 1-1/2 stick butter or margarine, softened
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 5 tablespoons 4x sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans

Step 1Cream together butter, water, sugar and vanilla flavoring until smooth.

Step 2Fold in flour and pecans; mix well.

Step 3Pinch off small amounts of dough with your hands, shape into finger shape. Bake at 300 for 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Makes 36 to 48 cookies. Roll in powdered sugar while hot.
