I was introduced to Nutella at my grandmother's house in Germany. For years, you had to go to a German deli to find it. I'm so glad that Nutella has become easily available in the US. Aldi's and others have their own generic variety which are just as good.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup Nutella or other chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons hazelnut extract or vanilla
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

How To Make nutella chip cookies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350º F.
  • Step 2
    Mix together dry ingredients. Set aside.
  • Step 3
    Beat butter and add sugars. Beat until well combined.
  • Step 4
    Add the egg, then the nutella and extract. Beat together until well combined.
  • Step 5
    Gradually add dry ingredients to butter mixture. Fold in white chocolate chips.
  • Step 6
    Using a small (1 Tablespoon) cookie scoop, place on parchement paper covered baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  • Step 7
    Bake for 12-15 minutes. Let cool on sheet for a minute or two, then finish cooling on wire racks.
  • Step 8
    Makes about 60 cookies.
