My father only bakes one type of cookie and its peanut butter cookies for nearly 40 years. He guards this recipe with his life! So one day I saw it laying on the kitchen counter and so I took notes :) made the recipe my own even better!!!

  • 1 c
    unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 c
    peanut butter, creamy
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2
  • 2 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c

How to Make Not My Daddy's Peanut Butter Cookies


  1. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda mix well with fork or shifter set aside
  2. Combine butter & both sugar in mixer mix well, add eggs one at a time. Add dry mixture then vanilla
  3. Drop teaspoons of cookie dough unto lightly grease cookie pan bake for 10-12 minutes (i like my soft & chewy so I take them out 3/4 done)
