Ingredients

  • CREAM:
  • 1 cup butter (or shortening)
  • 2 1/4 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 - eggs & mix with above items
  • MIX TOGETHER:
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground clove
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • ADD:
  • 1 cup nuts (pecans, walnuts, etc.)
  • 1 1/2 cups golden raisins
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • FROSTING
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • - hot water to get to spreading consistency

How To Make norwegian cookies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350.
  • Step 2
    Cream butter, brown sugar and salt. Add 3 eggs and mix.
  • Step 3
    Mix together cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and flour. Then add nuts, raisins, and vanilla. Spread batter in greased 10 1/2 X 15 1/2 pan. Bake 20 - 25 minutes at 350.
  • Step 4
    While cookies are warm, frost cookies.
