no-bake cookies
My dad taught me to make these cookies when I was a little girl, and I instantly became the "no-bake maker". I often took them to school, and now take them to work and they are always well praised.

Ingredients
- 4 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup baking cocoa (do not use hershey's)
- 1 stick butter, salted
- 1 cup milk, whole or 2%
- SET THESE ASIDE FOR LATER
- 4 cups oats, quick cooking
- 1 jar jif peanut butter, 18 oz.
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
How To Make no-bake cookies

Step 1Combine sugar, baking cocoa, butter, and milk together in pan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

Step 2Let mixture boil for one minute, stirring constantly or sugar will burn.

Step 3After one minute, remove from heat and add peanut butter, oats, and vanilla extract. Stir together.

Step 4You may need to add a pinch or two more oats to make the cookies thicker.

Step 5Drop cookies onto foil, or wax paper making them whatever size you want to cool.
