Neiman Marcus $250.00 Cookies Recipe

A woman dined at a Nieman Marcus restaurant and for dessert had a cookie. It was the best cookie she had ever eaten and she asked for the receipe. They told her it would be a charge of two fifty for the recipe. Thinking they meant $2.50 she told them to put it on her account. When she got the bill she was charged $250.00. When she told them there was a mistake, they said no it was the correct charge. Needless to say she had to pay the charge but to get them back she vowed to get the recipe to as many people as possible. Here it is and is my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe!

brown sugar
2 tsp

blended oatmeal (measure and blend in a blender or food processor to a fine powder)
1 tsp
2 tsp
baking powder
2 tsp
baking soda
24 oz
chocolate chips
8 oz
hershey chocolate candy bar, grated
3 c
nuts, chopped


1Cream butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla and cream throughly.
2Add flour, blended oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Mix well.
3Add chips, grated candy bar and chopped nuts and mix well. Drop by teaspoon two inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 6 - 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes 112 cookies but recipe can be halved.
