  • 1/2 c
  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2
  • 1 tsp
  • 2 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/4 c
    butterscotch chips
  • 1/4 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 c
    white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter chips
  • 1 1/2 c
    walnuts, pecans & hazelnuts {filberts}

How to Make Multi Chip Cookie Bars


  1. In a large mixing bowl beat shortening and butter with electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds
  2. Add brown sugar, grandualted sugar and baking soda. Beat until mixture is combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionaly
  3. Beat in eggs and vanilla until combined
  4. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with mixer. Stir in any remaining flour
  5. Stir in chips & nuts
  6. Press dough into an ungreased 15x10x1 inch baking pan.
  7. Bake in 375 degree oven for 15 - 20 minutes or unitl golden. Cool on wire rack. Cut into bars
