1/2 c
butter, softened
1 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c
granulated sugar
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
2 1/2 c
all purpose flour
1/4 c
butterscotch chips
1/4 c
semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 c
white chocolate chips
1/2 c
peanut butter chips
1 1/2 c
walnuts, pecans & hazelnuts {filberts}

How to Make Multi Chip Cookie Bars


  • 1In a large mixing bowl beat shortening and butter with electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds
  • 2Add brown sugar, grandualted sugar and baking soda. Beat until mixture is combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionaly
  • 3Beat in eggs and vanilla until combined
  • 4Beat in as much of the flour as you can with mixer. Stir in any remaining flour
  • 5Stir in chips & nuts
  • 6Press dough into an ungreased 15x10x1 inch baking pan.
  • 7Bake in 375 degree oven for 15 - 20 minutes or unitl golden. Cool on wire rack. Cut into bars
