My Grandma got this recipe from one of her church study groups . She would make them all the time, and if she didn't we all ask why? They are a good soft cookie and if you don't frost them a quick one to make

2 csugar

4eggs
-
1 cshortening(1 stick butter and 1/2 cup crisco)

1 cbuttermilk with 1 scant tsp soda

4 cflour

2 tspbaking powder level

1/2 tsplevel salt
How To Make mrs. studders cookies

1Mix shortening and sugar till creamy. Add eggs one at a time. Alternate the dry ingredients and the buttermilk, mix till combined.

2Drop on a cookie sheet. Bake in a 400 degree oven for about 10 min. What the first batch, everyones oven is different. After they are cooled frost with a butter cream frosting.
