  • 1/2 lb
    butter
  • 4 Tbsp
    powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    water
  • 3 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    pecans, chopped
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract

How to Make Mrs. Lyndon Johnson's Sand Tarts

Step-by-Step

  1. Blend butter and sugar; add other ingredients.
  2. Roll with the hand to finger size and turn into half moons.
  3. Bake about 25 minutes in 350F oven.
  4. Roll in powdered sugar.
