This is my most all time favorite sugar cookie ever. They melt in your mouth.

1/2 c
butter, softened
1/2 c
1 c
corn oil
1 c
1 c
powdered sugar
1 tsp
vanilla or lemon extract
4 1/2 c
sifted flour
1 tsp
cream of tartar
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp

How to Make Mrs. Lucille Sugar Cookies


  • 1Cream together butter and Crisco.
  • 2Mix in: corn oil, sugar and powdered sugar.
  • 3Add: eggs, vanilla or lemon extract, sifted flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
  • 4Dough will be very soft but not sticky.

    Drop a small ball of dough on parchment covered cookie sheet.

    Press down with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar.

    Bake at 350 degrees F for about 10-12 minutes.

    Cool on cookie sheet for 3-5 minutes and transfer to wire rack to finish cooling.
