1 cwhite sugar
1 cbrown sugar, firmly packed
1 cbutter or shortening
3 tspbaking powder
1 tspbaking soda
1 Tbspvanilla extract
How to Make Mrs. Andersons Filled Cookies
- Cream together white sugar,brown sugar and shortening or butter. Add eggs and mix well. Stir in 1 cup milk.
- Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt and add to the creamed mixture.
- Add vanilla extract and enough more flour to make a soft dough
Roll out dough in portions to cut out circles with cookie cutter. Fill with Raisin filling. Top with another dough circle.
Bake at 375 degrees 8-10 minutes
- Raisin filling
1lb raisins,1/2 c water, 1/2 cup white sugar,tsp vanilla and 1 tbls flour. Bring to boil and cool.
