monster cookies
These are from my friend Denise Thompson, who got the recipe from Pike Place Market, a Seattle restaurant. They are almost a meal in themselves, and I like to think they're "healthy!"

Ingredients
- 1 stick butter, room temperature
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup sugar (splenda can replace this.)
- 3 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup peanut butter (i used creamy.)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup walnuts
- 4 1/2 cups oats, quick cooking
How To Make monster cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350.

Step 2Mix all ingredients.

Step 3With oiled hands, press balls of dough into patties and place on a greased cookie sheet.

Step 4Cook for 15 minutes.

Step 5Allow to cool for 2-3 minutes before moving to wire racks.

Step 6Allow to completely cool on wire racks to avoid breakage.
