We used to have these when we were younger I need to make these soon for my kids... idk were this recipe came from but we used it growing up.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    margarine
  • 1/2 c
    shortening
  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter, creamy
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 large
    eggs
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    oatmeal
  • 1 c
    corn flakes
  • 1/2 c
    coconut, optional
  • 1/2 c
    chocolate chips

How to Make Monster cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix together margarine, shortening and peanut butter (if desired). Add sugars and mix well. Add eggs, and vanilla. Combine flours, baking powder and soda in sifter and add to above mixture along with remaining ingredients.
  2. drop by full rounded Tablespoon on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 min.
  3. good combonations: Peanut butter and chocolate chips and no coconut or coconut and chocolate chips and no peanut butter.
