Chocolate chip cookies just the way mom makes them!

  • 2 1/4 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 c
    softened butter or margarine
  • 3/4 c
    granulated white sugar
  • 3/4 c
    packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
  • 2
  • 1 12 oz pkg
    chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    finely chopped pecans

How to Make Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

    Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a mixing bowl.

    Beat butter, sugars and vanilla in a large bowl until well combined and creamy. Add eggs and vanilla.

    Gradually beat in flour mixture.

    Stir chocolate chips and nuts into cookie dough until well mixed.
  2. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto un-greased baking sheets.

    Bake 9-11 minutes, until edges are golden brown.
  3. Cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
