I got this recipe about 33 years ago from my daughters grandmother. She made these every year for the holidays. They are simple but oh sooo good!

2 sticks butter
6 tablespoons white suger
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour

How To Make momo's butter christmas cookies

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350* Blend ingredients until dough ceases to be sticky.

Step 2

Roll into teaspoon sized balls. Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet for 10 to 12 minutes.
Step 3

Be creative! Roll dough balls into crushed nuts or sprinkles, insert a half pecan or walnut on top or place a red cherry on top. A great and easy recipe.
