Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 - egg
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup oil/shortening
- 2 cups molasses
- 7 cups flou
- 2 tablespoons ginger
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup boiling water
How To Make momma's soft ginger cookies

Step 1Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and then beat well.

Step 2Add molasses and vinegar. Mix all the spices, flour, baking powder then sift.

Step 3Sift the dry ingredients into the liquid mixture. Add the water and mix it well!

Step 4The dough will be soft. Roll into balls or drop by teaspoon on greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with sugar and then Bake.
